Oh Yeah, I'm Still Here (first thought upon waking this morning)

My view this morning:

After a run up the nearby hill (I'll update about that another day) and some exercising using the snake-pit of workout bands I brought:

I made the mistake of using the shower in my hotel next to the bathroom labeled as such:

Now the shower actually has the luxury of vertical walls but the only one blue nozzle did not clue me in to the fact that there was no hot water. Already clotheless and inside of it, I just plunged into the cold H20.

Then I went to the café and worked on writing projects all afternoon. It's called Café Barista and is the closest thing they have to Starbucks in Antigua and so is the natural habitat of all the whites with mobile devices:

Which is great because I feel right at home hearing English speakers complain that their hotel used to be $8 a night, breakfast included but is now $10 with no breakfast!

Despite appearing like an American Starbucks, they are still on the Guatemalan service level. If you order anything, even just a cup of coffee or tea, you actually receive a number:

Which I'm sure is good because it saves them from the doomed-to-fail system of just remembering who ordered a coffee two minutes ago.

And then, such as in Central America, they take their time bringing it to you. Today I ordered a tea and a pecan tart and it took them 20 minutes to bring me a latte. I love this place.

And then the rest of the day I spent continuing to write and talking to the fellow lost souls to wandered themselves to my hotel.
